Final Reflection
At the end of this semester I learned a lot of things in the
critical thinking course, for example at the beginning we took a lesson about
the definition of critical thinking, how to think critically and watched some
videos about it, we also did an experience with the slice of bread and the
toaster, which made me realized that we need to try again and again to get to
the result I want, like what happened with the slice of bread and the toaster,
we had to try different temperature till we got to the perfect toast.
The second big lesson I learned is how to do a research
based on a survey. Picking up a topic to search about was not easy at first,
but at the end if I want to do a research or write a report it has to be about
something I don’t know enough about. We had to prepare a research plan
including the WH’s which helped me through the project because it is the only
way I could get an accurate results with.
I even learned how to do a survey, distribute it and to
analyze the data we collected at the end.
The third biggest lesson I learned in this course is from the
‘advertisement project’, it was my first time to know that these advertisements
had methods and techniques that they follow. The three main techniques were
different form each other, I got to analyze an advertisement and write about
it, I also did an advertisement ‘Poster’ using these three methods which made
me think how do these advertisements effect on people, not only these days but
also in the past.
I’m looking forward to use what I have learned in this
course throughout my entire collage life and even in my daily life.
